Ángulo Cero is a major design and art gallery in the Doctores neighborhood. They begain in 2014 in Lomas de Chapultepec and continue to run many of their major exhibitions through that showroom (at Sierra Madre 380). But Ángulo has really ridden the wave of galleries and boutiques moving eastward from Roma-Condesa. The search for additional space has seldom been so richly rewarded.
Ángulo Cero operates as middleman between artists and major, boutique, and traditional design firms. Some are big and many are small. The gallery often bring in artists, or work to further artists and artisans working at, with, and near these same design and production studios. In their own words, design is thought from art. The results are many collectible works. Editions are limited. They’re also often customizable with loads of high-end options, colors and finishes. Shows are usually headlined by the artists themselves much more than by design studios or teams.
Some works are sourced from abroad. Many more are shipped abroad. Collections are always unique. Shows are increasingly well-attended, even far off in Lomas. The gallery is also a strong supporter of local Art Week and other design related annual events.
The only drawback is that visits are by appointment only.
