Anonymous Gallery began on New York’s Lower East Side in 2018. The aim was to provide an artistic and contemporary public platform based on community engagement. The Mexico City branch opened in 2011 to further disseminate and support art that’s directly or indirectly influenced by culture, graphic design, fashion, and the urban environment.
The gallery reopened in the Condesa neighborhood after some number of years in San Rafael. Since then, it’s been at the forefront of visual arts hi-jinx in Mexico City. In addition to its exhibitions, the gallery collaborates with other galleries in Mexico City, New York and elsewhere to produce complex and ambitious projects.
At this writing, they’re actively participating in projects in Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, and Miami for the title of most ambitious visual arts gallery yet. Visit in la Condesa for a real eyeful. The Facebook page is updated often, and events in the San Rafael location tend to be among the neighborhood’s most well-attended.
