Iconic Streets

Mexico City's most Iconic Streets are those that serve as the heart of a neighborhood. There are bigger grander streets. Most of these are avenues or main streets that deserve pages all on their own. The best examples are:

The streets below are lined with private, often much smaller businesses. Each is distinct, and a prominent part of its neighborhood. In many cases, neighborhoods themselves are known, more than anything, for this one street.

Each of them makes a terrific afternoon itinerary, all on its own. That's especially true if you're visiting for the first time.
