North Mexico City is generally divided into two alcaldías. Gustavo A. Madero, to the very north and east, is called "La GAM," by city residents. Azcapotzalco, to the northwest, is some of the longest settled territory in the valley of Mexico.
Both have long and fascinating histories. In the present, both are supporting dynamic interesting communities and economies. You can learn more about each of them with the North Mexico City micro-maps, bulleted here.
