In this fascinating place, there are two impressive works by Diego Rivera that celebrate the vital element: the mural “Water, origin of life on Earth” and the imposing “Tlaloc Fountain”.
The building that houses these works is the creation of architect Ricardo Rivas, who in 1951 designed this structure to commemorate the completion of the hydraulic works of the Lerma System.
Behind the Cárcamo await the impressive Dolores Tanks. Each has a capacity of 50 million liters and is part of the vital Lerma-Cutzamala Water System, which supplies a large part of the city.
