People come to Mexico City for all kinds of reasons—sometimes just on the way to somewhere else. Whether you’ve been dreaming of visiting or you arrived by chance, there’s a lot you can do.

Even for seasoned residents, options are endless. Below you’ll find flexible suggestion pages. Wherever you go, you’ll likely be surrounded by choices—maybe even tempted to stay longer.

These pages include multiple itineraries to help you plan and get more out of CDMX. We’ve built them around how long you have and what you like doing. If your days are more or fewer than listed, no problem—you’ll still get a ton from each option.

Got kids? Here’s a 24-hour plan even the best parents will love—Mexico City is a treat for children. Twelve hours at the airport? Easy! Try a max-12-hour layover plan to see a lot and board happy. And if markets are your thing, our Public Market Bonanza hits some of the city’s best.

More time? See the Kids-day itinerary or the 12-day itinerary.
