Energía, by Mathias Goeritz

Energía_Mathias_Goeritz_chapultepec

The Energy Sculpture, one of the most outstanding works of the German architect and sculptor Mathias Goeritz, stands as an imposing 18-meter-high concrete tower. At its top, a series of yellow and gray cubes are embedded at different angles, forming a unique expression of creativity.

This work of art, created in 1982 and restored in 2015 to commemorate the centennial of Goeritz’s birth, adorns the Chivatito entrance.
