Galería Divart opened in 1983, when director, Isaac Green began working with artists like Rufino Tamayo, Rossy Green, Víctor Villarreal, Víctor Gutiérrez, Leonardo Nierman, Marco Antonio Zepeda. With their support, the first gallery opened in the Camino Real Hotel.
Today, the Divart Gallery, having relocated across the park to the JW Marriott Hotel has turned an artistic corner too. With firm roots in mid-century Surrealism, the gallery has especially promoted the newer trends toward a revival in Comedia dell’arte themes. The gallery also proudly specializes in Hyper-Realist works from the late 20th century. Altogether, viewers and guests get much more whimsical take on where visual arts are headed.
