Expo Santa Fe

Expo Santa Fe is a mid-sized convention center on the west side of Mexico City. Opened in 2002, the center signed a sponsorship contract in 2006. That contract lasted some ten years but, as a result, some City residents will still refer to the center as Expo Bancomer. The name used now was in use when the center originally opened.

The convention center takes advantage of the better-than-3,000 hotel rooms in the broader Santa Fe area. Exhibitors get access to world-class services, electrical, telephony, internet, cleaning, and banquet services. Parking lots hold up to 2,950 vehicles.

Expo Santa Fe offers some 34,000 square meters on a main floor, and another 5,125 square meters of open-air space. The center regularly hosts congresses, conventions, corporate events and social gatherings. The center has hosted concerts and similar performances, but the bulk of the business is in corporate meetings and expos. Some of these have drawn guests from all over Latin America.

Capital Bus makes a stop here on the seasonal Reforma-Santa Fe route. It runs just in December, July and August and during Semana Santa. The route covers a tremendous part of Santa Fe, and from here continues to multiple shopping centers before returning to Reforma. The bus stops on the lower level of the Avenida Carlos Lazo.
