Foro La Paz

The Foro La Paz is an exciting cultural center and events venue nearly in the heart of San Ángel. It takes its name from the little Plaza La Paz out front.

Opened nearly at the end of the pandemic, in 2022, its quickly consolidated into one of the area’s leading night spots. And that’s because the lineup for events has consistently presented leading acts, concerts, exhibitions and private events.

Exhibition space within the Foro is nothing short of spectacular. Exhibition openings are often timed to coincide with musical events within the space. Theatrical works are just as frequent.

The entire venue takes advantage of the mini Plaza de el Carmen. It’s a shopping center and restaurant agglomeration that features indoor-outdoor shopping and dining. The Plaza is positioned to take advantage of the better-known, and giant Centro Cultural San Ángel. That rather famously stands just across the busy Avenida Revolución.

But the Plaza, and now the Foro La Paz, have contributed to softening the notoriously traffic-heavy intersection. Especially here, on the Chimalistac side. As the name indicates, the Plaza is just a few steps from the front of the Museo de el Carmen. Visits are often planned to the Foro just after the museum as events are often less formal than those across the street. Events often last well into the night.
