Calzada flotante “Los Pinos”

The roadway was inaugurated in 2023 and connects the First Section, at the level of the Los Pinos Cultural Complex, with the Second Section, on Avenida de los Compositores. Before its construction, it was practically impossible to walk from one section to the other.

The road is 248 meters long and in its elevated sections, the roadway rests on 26 steel columns. The most characteristic feature, however, are the open holes to allow the existing trees to continue growing.

The design is the work of artist Gabriel Orozco who used circles and impressions based on sensory experience.
