Utopía Mixiuhca

Inaugurated in March 2026 as a grand project of social urbanism spanning over 80,000 square meters, Utopía Mixiuhca breaks with the traditional public park model to offer top-tier sports, cultural, and health facilities, all with completely free access. Located in the Granjas México neighborhood, its infrastructure positions it as an ideal meeting point for the recreation of locals and tourists during the Soccer Festivals, demonstrating how sports coexist with community well-being.

The venue’s name means “place of birth” in Nahuatl. Adrenaline and physical activity come together in the space, offering a go-kart track equipped with 20 go-karts, a semi-Olympic pool, pump tracks for cyclists, batting cages, padel, tennis, squash, and beach volleyball courts, as well as structures for aerial silk dance. With family recreation in mind, the design integrates the “Utopía de las Infancias” (Childhood Utopia), which includes interactive water, height, and adventure islands, a dinosaur-themed paleontological discovery zone, and accessible play areas.

The core of this venue is its Public Care System. The complex provides direct support to the community through public laundromats, a community dining room, a Day Center for elderly adults, a spa, and a traditional temazcal. In terms of health, it features medical and psychological care, dental and gynecological services, and a clinical laboratory equipped with a mammogram machine. In addition, it allocates specific facilities for inclusion and emotional health, such as Casa Colibrí for addiction treatment, the space “El reto es cuidar” (The challenge is caring) for men, and Casa Biguidi for sexually diverse individuals.

The complex’s offering is rounded off with an auditorium and art rooms, digital classrooms, a veterinary clinic with a dog park, the Tienda de la Tierra with products from conservation areas, and a native corn tortillería from the Centli network.

Hours: Monday to Sunday from 9:00 to 18:00 hrs.

How to get there: The Ciudad Deportiva station on Metro Line 9 offers direct access just a few steps from the main entrance.
