Utopía Eduardo Molina

The Utopía Deportiva Eduardo Molina is a benchmark for the revitalization of public space in the center-east area of the capital. Located in the Venustiano Carranza borough, this megacomplex represents the successful evolution of a historic neighborhood sports center into a comprehensive model of contemporary social urbanism. Designed under the acclaimed format of the Utopías promoted by the Government of Mexico City, this venue offers the demarcation’s inhabitants and children top-quality facilities for culture, coexistence, and recreation, guaranteeing the right to leisure completely free of charge.

In its infrastructure, the Utopía houses high-level sports facilities, highlighting an Olympic swimming pool and a rehabilitation pool, its renovated synthetic grass football pitches, areas for basketball and multi-purpose use, as well as modern gyms, running tracks, and calisthenics zones. Following the comprehensive approach of these complexes, the space is not limited solely to physical activity; it also incorporates pavilions dedicated to the Public Care System, art workshops, children’s playgrounds, and tree-lined rest modules, consolidating itself as an authentic urban refuge for families.

In the most important football festival on the planet, this venue will take on unparalleled prominence having been chosen as one of the official sites for the 35 Football Festivals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Classified as a Type B Production venue, this site will be activated strategically during the key dates of the tournament to become a monumental public square. There, fans will be able to enjoy the broadcast on high-definition megascreens of the most decisive matches and, of course, all the games in which the Mexican National Team participates.

The World Cup experience in this Utopía will be designed to transcend the screen, developing alongside the matches community dynamics such as teqball and fut-tennis tournaments, and the classic and unmissable “cascaritas” (pick-up games). Furthermore, the festival will function as a spectacular window into popular culture, housing rest areas and a rich offer of local gastronomy with traditional antojitos from the Venustiano Carranza borough.
