Restaurante Arroyo

Located in the south of the city, this venue operates on a monumental scale that goes beyond the restaurant concept to function as a small village dedicated to Mexican traditions.

Its facilities cover thousands of square meters and include multiple independent dining rooms, cobblestone courtyards, an internal bullring (redondel), children’s playgrounds, and hallways adorned with papel picado, vegetation, and rustic hacienda architecture.

Live music is a constant that permeates all areas of the place.

Various groups, including full mariachis, jarocho ensembles, and Chiapanecan marimba trios, frequently rotate through the halls offering regional repertoires.

On the main stages, management schedules folkloric dance shows and traditional dances that accompany the meal times and after-dinner conversations of the attendees.

The organic sound of the instruments dominates the establishment’s acoustics.

The noise of thousands of people conversing, the clashing of plates, and the multiple groups playing in different corners generate a deeply festive atmosphere, very characteristic of the great fairs of Mexico.

The regular clientele is made up of large multi-generational families occupying long wooden tables during the weekends.

It is a traditional meeting point for celebrations, birthdays, and holidays.

The pit-cooked barbacoa baked in its own ovens, the mutton consommé, and the carnitas are the immovable gastronomic pillars of the house.

The kitchens dispatch sopes, quesadillas, and handmade tortillas, accompanied by a beverage service focused on tequilas, pulques, pitchers of aguas frescas, and beers.
