El Lugar del Mariachi

Nestled in the streets of the Zona Rosa, this venue operates fully under the format of a theater-restaurant designed to showcase Mexican musical culture to large groups of diners.

Its internal hall organizes the audience’s tables pointing directly towards a stage equipped with technical lighting and treated acoustics to accommodate large acoustic ensembles.

Entertainment is the pillar of the venue and nocturnal programming usually relies on performances by folkloric ballets executing choreographies from various regions of the country, ranchera singers, and, as the central event, interventions by mariachi groups uniformed in gala suits playing from the stage for the enjoyment of the entire room.

The atmosphere demands certain attention to the shows on the stage during the musical numbers, interspersing the songs with open dance floor lapses where the audience is invited to dance tropical and classic rhythms in the center of the hall.

The audience is heavily made up of contingents of international tourists, families, and capital city residents looking to celebrate guests from other latitudes in a controlled format.

Behavior in the room is relaxed and safe.

The menu covers the standard options of national food required by out-of-town visitors, serving chiles en nogada, fajitas, tacos, meat cuts, and representative antojitos of mestizo cuisine.

The bar complements the service by offering ice-cold margaritas, straight tequila tastings, and commercial brand beers.
