查普尔特佩克湖(Chapultepec Lake)是公园中几个水域之一。这个以公园命名的湖建于19世纪末，原先是一座矿场。从技术上讲，它是较小的湖。小湖(Lago Mayor )位于公园的第二部分，游客相对较少。湖边之屋与湖同时建造，至今仍然是一个热门的活动场所，同时也是一个非常活跃的文化和艺术中心。
由于湖水较浅，平均深度略超过一米，这个小湖理所当然地成为公园的主要景点之一。
2006年，发现一条15公尺的裂缝，湖水被暂时关闭并排乾。同时，鲤鱼和罗非鱼数量过多的问题得到了解决，研究人员惊讶地发现了蝾螈（Ambystoma mexicanum）。蝾螈是霍奇米尔科特有的濒危蝾螈，数量对保育工作有很大帮助。
您可以从改革大道 (Paseo de la Reforma) 轻鬆抵达湖边，或者从查普尔特佩克地铁 (Metro Chapultepec) 出发更为方便。该湖因脚踏船和喂鸭子而闻名。几乎全年，都是公园的中心景点之一。
