Ex Fábrica Mx, also known as the Art District of the city, is located in the Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo and it s a recognized venue, both nationally and internationally. Here, artists from different disciplines share their work with the public.
Its history began in 1928, when a flour company built “El Molino de las Flores”, which operated for nearly 80 years. After that time, the place went abandoned and years later an architecture firm decided to invest in the site and rehabilitate it.
Today, it serves as a stage for live arts, and for hosting concerts, film shoots, exhibitions, photo sessions, bazaars, conferences, and much more.
You will also find several food vendors that complement the experience. If you want to take something home as a souvenir, there are also shops where contemporary design and art are the main protagonists, featuring accessories, paintings, footwear, clothing, interior décor, and more.
Ex Fábrica Mx is undoubtedly a great option for spending a different kind of afternoon. Admission is free and you can take as many photos as you like with your phone. If you wish to use a professional camera, you will need to request a permit, which has an additional cost.
