Deportivo Vivanco

Deportivo Vivanco is one of the most traditional recreational and physical activity spaces in the south of the capital. Located just a few steps from the heart of the Historic Center of Tlalpan, this complex has served for decades as the main meeting point for families, youth, and athletes of the borough to enjoy a healthy and inclusive environment. Its location, surrounded by the colonial architecture and cobblestone streets of the area, makes it a vital venue where sports and community life converge.

The sports center is designed to meet the needs of multiple disciplines, featuring a grass soccer pitch, basketball and multi-purpose courts, children’s playgrounds, and a semi-Olympic pool dedicated to teaching and practicing swimming. Over time, this space has hosted local leagues, neighborhood tournaments, and community workshops, consolidating itself as a true seedbed of talent and a safe refuge for the recreation of the inhabitants of Tlalpan and its surrounding neighborhoods.

On the occasion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Deportivo Vivanco will transform into one of the stellar venues for the Football Festivals organized by the capital’s Government. Classified under the Type A production scheme, this venue will guarantee that the sporting event is experienced to the fullest, broadcasting live and for free the entirety of the 104 matches of the tournament throughout its 39-day duration. The experience inside the sports center will transcend the simple screening of the games, offering attendees high-definition megascreens in a family atmosphere. Alongside the World Cup excitement, the place will come alive with interactive dynamics such as community teqball and fut-tennis tournaments, and the classic “cascaritas” (pick-up games), complemented by comfortable rest areas and a window into local gastronomy that will exalt the traditional flavors of Tlalpan.

  • Hours: Monday to Sunday from 07:00 to 21:00 hrs. (Hours will be adapted and extended during the official broadcasts of the Football Festivals).
  • How to get there: Located at 64 Moneda Street, Tlalpan Centro I, Tlalpan Borough. It can be reached by walking from the main square of Downtown Tlalpan, or via Metrobús Line 1 (Fuentes Brotantes or Ayuntamiento station) with a short walk towards the historic center of the demarcation.
