The Biblioteca Jesús Romo Armería is the library of the Institute of Chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). One of the most important chemistry archives in the country, the collection includes 125 journal titles, some dating back to 1868.

The collection includes about 15,000 volumes including reference works, theses, monographic series, and database subscriptions such as Scifinder. The library also hold digital resources, all of which support both students and external researchers and scholars.

  • Jesús Romo Armería (1922–1977), was a chemist, researcher, and academic. Among his achievements was the development of an economical method for obtaining the female hormones, estradiol and progesterone. He was awarded the Andrés Manuel del Río Medal from the Chemical Society of Mexico in 1966 and the National Science Award in 1971.
