El Breve Espacio

A refuge located in the north of the capital that defends its status as an acoustic peña and trova space against massive nightlife entertainment options. After the historic closure of its former headquarters in the Roma Norte neighborhood, the venue consolidated its operations in the heart of Lindavista.

The sound offering focuses exclusively on the crispness of the organic sound of acoustic guitar and voice. The format allows horizontal complicity where the public requests songs directly to the musician on the stage, sings the lyrics at a soft volume that does not overshadow the performer, and pays attention to the content of contemporary trova, canto nuevo, and Ibero-American social music.

The clientele consists of couples, students from university campuses in the north of the city, and groups of friends looking to connect intellectually through musical folklore. General behavior demands tacit respect for the performer, silencing group talks during the execution of songs so as not to hinder the guitar’s message.

The small bar dispatches continuous rounds that align with the tradition of South American peñas: pitchers of red wine prepared with fresh fruit slices, local craft beers, and dark domestic beers. The menu offers accompaniments and snacks, highlighting quick-preparation antojitos, cheese boards, and cold cuts designed not to generate grill smoke or strong odors inside the closed room.

Access to the interior involves the payment of a recovery cost or direct cover at the door, depending on the programming. Given the influx of its loyal public, the chair capacity is filled quickly, fostering a dense atmosphere of gathering and bohemia to start the night.
