This concept operates under a traveling format that takes over temporary locations on the rooftops and terraces of historic buildings in the Historic Center quadrant during Sunday afternoons. Being daytime format events (“day-club”), the design takes advantage of the panoramic perspectives of the viceregal domes and monuments of the area, allowing dancing outdoors before dusk.
Musical curation leans specifically on house, nu-disco, and variants of melodic electronics of friendly rhythms (“downtempo”). Acoustics in open spaces offer clear and defined sound that doesn’t seek to stun the attendee. The transition of rhythms advances progressively as sunlight descends, ending the events before midnight.
The attending audience is heterogeneous and involves design industry professionals, the resident foreigner community, and local inhabitants looking to close the weekend in a social environment. The setting invites the use of light casual clothing, sunglasses, and comfortable flat shoes to dance on the concrete or tile surfaces of the rooftops.
The temporary bars set up for the event offer local craft beer, straight-served single-origin mezcal, light wines, and refreshing direct cocktails in compostable cups. Service is direct at the counter, and the collective’s logistics are calculated to supply attendees without generating long waiting lines under the afternoon sun.
Access requires previously checking the collective’s digital platforms to know that week’s exact location and purchasing digital tickets, given that terrace capacity is limited and regulated by civil protection. Locations are usually found in the vicinity of the downtown museum circuit.
