Deportivo Hermanos Galeana

The Hermanos Galeana Sports Center, located in the Gustavo A. Madero borough, is a benchmark for physical activity in the north of the capital that has recently undergone an evolution. Transformed under the model of the Utopías promoted by the Government of Mexico City, this mega-complex represents the revitalization of public space. Designed to reduce territorial inequality and guarantee the right to recreation completely free of charge, the venue offers the inhabitants of San Juan de Aragón and its surroundings cutting-edge facilities for culture, sports, and community wellness.

In the sports realm, the complex’s renovated infrastructure is top-tier. It houses multiple baseball fields, a modern semi-olympic swimming pool, athletics tracks, and completely rehabilitated synthetic grass soccer fields. These improvements take on special relevance ahead of the 2026 World Cup, turning the Galeana into a meeting point for soccer, where neighborhood leagues, local tournaments, and the community can enjoy facilities of the World Cup city, fostering citizen ownership of the space.

Beyond sports, one of the most fascinating and unique attractions of this site is the “Galactic Adventure” (Aventura Galáctica), an innovative immersive and technological project that simulates an astronaut’s training, adding scientific outreach to traditional recreation. Following the integral approach of the Utopías, the complex also incorporates modules of the Public Care System, free medical clinics, an auditorium, and dance halls, consolidating itself as a true refuge for family development.

The experience at the Hermanos Galeana expands toward its surrounding streets, where a tianguis (street market) is set up on weekends. There, the offering of traditional snacks, seafood cocktails, and aguas frescas complements the day, making this complex an unparalleled destination of hospitality, health, and popular culture in the northern zone of the metropolis.

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 08:00 to 20:00 hrs.

How to get there: The fastest, most direct, and safest way to arrive is by using Metrobús Line 6 (pink). Upon getting off at the Deportivo Los Galeana or Ampliación Providencia stations, the visitor will find themselves exactly in front of the main entrances of this immense sports city.
