The Cuatro Caminos area might seem like it's just a giant Metro station. In fact, the area has gone through vast improvements in the past few years.
The Cetram, that is, the giant bus loading area, has given way to a shopping, medical and university complex. There are now museums, galleries, and more than a few things worth investigating.
Of course, the giant cemetery, one of the oldest in the Valley of Mexico, is not going anywhere. But that's kept density, even in one of the busiest corners of Mexico City, to a minimum, and kept at least a good patch of blue sky above.
