Cablebús Line 3

Cablebús Line 3 represents one of the capital's most beautiful sustainable mobility and urban design routes, traversing the heights of the west and offering an unprecedented perspective of the urban ecosystem. It required an investment of 2.6 billion pesos and covers a distance of 5.5 kilometers to link the eastern node of Los Pinos with the western terminal of Vasco de Quiroga. Featuring 71 state-of-the-art cabins, the route has the capacity to transport up to 34,000 passengers daily, achieving a commute reduction from forty to just twenty-one minutes, primarily benefiting the inhabitants of Pueblo de Santa Fe and the surrounding neighborhoods in the Miguel Hidalgo borough.

The line was designed with a profound tourist and cultural focus. Its route was planned to interconnect the eleven fundamental nodes of the "Chapultepec: Nature and Culture" mega-project, functioning as a common thread that unites the four sections of the largest urban forest in the Americas. By rising above the treetops, the traveler obtains a privileged panoramic view of the forest against the metropolis skyline.

The aerial journey facilitates direct access to newly created venues and rehabilitated historical spaces, such as the Center for Environmental Culture, the Urban Culture Park, and the new Cineteca Nacional. This territorial integration allows areas of the Third and Fourth Sections, previously difficult to access or reserved for military use, to open fully for the enjoyment of visitors, democratizing the use of public space and the borough's cultural offerings. The Cablebús thus becomes a moving viewpoint, where the journey itself is an aesthetic experience.

Hours: Its doors open Monday through Friday from 05:00 to 23:00, Saturdays from 06:00 to 23:00, and on Sundays, passengers can board from 07:00 to 23:00.
