North Mexico City Walking Guide and Points of Interest
Mexico City's northernmost subdivision is the alcaldía Gustavo A. Madero. It's known locally as "La GAM." International visitors take notice especially of the Villa, that is, the Basilica de Guadalupe. The region's colonial area history is dominated by that once important city.
But in fact, there are many places of interest to the curious and those who simply want to see and learn more. The entire area was inhabited throughout the ancient period.
We've broken the region into these areas to help you get around a little more easily. The links head to the individual walking tours and areas.
The links below go to the descriptions of the places themselves. You can also click through the map to specific places in Gustavo A. Madero and surrounding neighborhoods.
