Rutas del Campo (Countryside Routes) is an agrotourism strategy promoted by the capital’s Secretariat of the Environment, designed to connect tourists with the producing communities
of the city’s conservation land.
Cost and Duration: The tours have an accessible price of $750.00 MXN and last between 5 and 6 hours (from 08:00 to 13:30 h). Each experience includes transportation from the meeting point,
a typical light breakfast, a meal made with local ingredients, and, exclusively for the Xochimilco and Tláhuacareas, a peaceful ride in a trajinera(traditional flat-bottomed boat).
